Aquisition History: Found by Don P. de Gavangos in 1892 and acquired by Sir John Evans. Presented to the museum by Sir Arthur Evans in 1927.
Other Information: Note the blue edged 'John Evans' label which reads 'Mine in the Asturias, Don P.de Gavangos'. Some 19th century mending is also visible on the base of the blade.
