Aquisition History: Found in 1877. Acquired by Sir John Evans and presented to the Ashmolean by Sir Arthur Evans in 1927.

Other Information: The Etruscan civilisation is the name given today to the culture and way of life of a people of ancient Italy and Corsica. The Romans called them Etrusci. No-one is quite sure when the Etruscan civilisation began, but it ranged from around 1200 BC until about 100 BC.
