Description: Fine Roman silver brooch used to fasten clothing in place. It would have been worn by a Roman (or Romanized Briton) in the second century AD.

Aquisition History: Found in 1846 and previously in Londesborough collection. Presented to the Ashmolean Museum by Sir Arthur Evans in 1927.
