Evans's documentary archive is housed in the Department of Antiquities and the Herberden Coin Room at the Ashmolean Museum. Most of the papers in the archive concern Evans's professional career. Some personal papers are included as well. A catalogue of the archive (compiled with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund) is available on the Access to Archives (A2A) website of The National Archives. The present project work on the archival material will enhance the existing on-line catalogue. At the end of the project the enhanced catalogue will replace the existing one on the A2A database, providing universal access to the resource. More information on: |
